Manage submittals in ProjectSight

Submittals are used to review and approve project documents such as shop drawings, materials, and specifications before work begins.

Typical use: Submit documents that require review and approval (e.g. shop drawings or material specifications) before they are used on site.
📄

Step 1. Create a submittal

Go to the Submittals module and create a new submittal. Enter key details such as title, description, and specification reference.

📎

Step 2. Attach documents

Upload the relevant documents (e.g. shop drawings or product data) that need to be reviewed as part of the submittal.

👤

Step 3. Assign reviewers

Add the appropriate reviewers or approvers who are responsible for reviewing the submitted documents.

🔄

Step 4. Track review status

Monitor the submittal as it moves through the review process. You can track status updates and reviewer responses.

✅

Step 5. Finalise and close

Once the documents are reviewed and approved, update the status to reflect completion and ensure the approved version is clearly recorded.

Common mistake: Submitting incomplete documents or not assigning reviewers can delay approvals and impact project timelines.
